WATERMELON PIZZA

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small watermelon (approx. 1.2–1.5 kg)
  • 2–3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 75 g chopped white chocolate
  • Juice of 2 organic lemons
  • 250 g mixed berries (e.g., raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)
  • 50 g candied almonds
  • 4 sprigs of mint

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:

Turn the Flammkraft grill’s searing zone to full power and preheat the grill grate for 2–3 minutes with the lid open.

STEP 2:

Slice the watermelon into 2–3 cm thick rounds. Lightly sprinkle both sides with brown sugar.

STEP 3:

Grill the watermelon slices over the searing zone for 2–3 minutes on each side. Flip once, then immediately sprinkle with white chocolate and drizzle with lemon juice.

STEP 4:

Sort and scatter the berries over the grilled melon slices.

STEP 5:

Roughly chop the candied almonds and sprinkle over the top.

STEP 6:

Finally, rinse and dry the mint, then use the leaves to garnish the watermelon slices. Cut into pieces and serve.

TIP:

The searing zone is ideal for grilling water-rich fruits like watermelon, pineapple, and others, as well as firm fruits. The high heat perfectly caramelizes the sugar and creates a nice crust.
